Twenty minutes of reading a day doesn't sound like a lot, right? Totally do-able. No biggie. Well, let me tell you, as my kids get older, it's a push to cram all that we have to in between the hours of 4 and 8 pm, and still have some sanity left over when we're finished. That being said, the reading and cuddle time is my favorite. We are just months away from Clayton being able to read to himself, and then I will have arrived. But in the meantime, it's a family effort, and my socks are always blessed off when one of the kids asks to read Clayton his story for me.
They are just the cutest buds, those too. I routinely thank God and clap myself on the back for thinking that getting pregnant when Trigg was 9 months old was a grand plan. It was. Like ripping off a band-aid, but a grand plan non-the-less.
Something else I thank God for often, Iris. This dog! She's a keeper. Who doesn't need the bottom of their foot licked? She's such a snuggler.
This face (above) may be a cry for help though.
Can you hear it? Nice, cozy, reading, quiet in this house of mine. Not too shabby for a cold January weekday.
Happy Satur-yay folks.
